These grilled salmon filets are cooked atop fresh orange slices that protect the fish from sticking to the grill while infusing it with citrus and keeping it moist. Best of all, no flipping required!

These grilled salmon filets are cooked atop fresh orange slices that protect the fish from sticking to the grill while infusing it with citrus.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon filets
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tbsp Girls Can Grill Pork Rub
- 2 oranges sliced
Instructions
- Heat Grill: Plug in your Ninja FlexFlame. Turn the propane tank on. Turn the dial to the left to ignite. Turn the dial to the Grill/Pizza setting. Adjust the temperature to 500F degrees. Preheat for 10 minutes.
- Arrange Oranges: Place 1 orange slice on a sheet pan. Layer another slice on top to the right, slightly covering the first slice. Repeat with the remaining oranges to create 4 orange stacks. Place a salmon filet on top of each stack skin side down.
- Season: Drizzle avocado oil on top of each filet. Season with pork rub. Squeeze some orange juice on top.
- Grill: Use a spatula to place the orange stacks and salmon on the grill. Cook for 12-14 minutes. The salmon is cooked through when it reaches an internal temperature of 145F degrees.
- Rest: Use the spatula to carefully remove the salmon and oranges from the grill. Transfer to a plate and drizzle with more fresh orange juice and a sprinkle of pork rub.

With the Ninja FlexFlame, you have the ability to add great smoky flavor to your food. To do this, fill the side hopper with wood pellets and press the Woodfire Flavor button. Once the ignition cycle is complete and the pellets are smoking, you can add your food.
